After chatting with @Qualcomm CEO @cristianoamon on #GenerativeAI, I had a few thoughts about the company's opportunity:
1/ #GAI is growing at a crazy rate
2/Opportunity doesn't stop at the hyperscale datacenter for training & inference
3/Inference workloads will be split between the cloud and the edge. History shows that the most efficient way of processing anything is where the data is captured unless there's a benefit to having all that data in 1 place. Edge processing is also more secure and private, with less latency.
4/Smartphones, tablets, PCs, XR, auto, and IoT devices will adopt #GAI, and makers will trumpet it as a differentiator
5/ could shift preference if marketed well, and maybe even add the ability to charge more for devices with superior experiences
6/ ability to charge more for devices or shift share means chip suppliers can charge more
7/ $QCOM is very well positioned in the future #GAI business opportunity

Looks to be the first 5G Advanced "ready (R8)." Some cool use cases leveraging tensor acceleration. First "converged" mmWave-Sub 6 transceiver architecture.
