@WajahatAli this isnt surprising: its 'mainstream' . in the 60's antiwar sentiment wasnt the result of mainstream media at all. the article actually cites many who are reliable and intelligent commentators on current events. media is a symptom of larger societal issues.
@biblioracle not the most vociferous surely. perhaps an issue we are having is that there are so many explanations that they are all mired in sameness. I prefer the small indications that reading still holds power as a tool of defiance. and sexuality.
