@nickfalato I would not say he looked explosive, but he never really has. He's clearly the slowest rb on the team but is competent in every area so should make it as rb4
@John_Karalis Agreed, he very likely won't get more than MLE on the open market. Locking that in a year early mitigates risk for him and really doesn't even benefit the celtics much since they can pay him that or more as an UFA
@John_Karalis I would think their goal would be to make a trade where someone goes into the TPE and they make a new TPE for next year when they plan to go into the tax. What that trade looks like is harder to figure out because it likely means George, White, or a combo of other players out
@celticsblog The most underrated storyline is the development of Hugo. He is going to get more opportunities this year and has a chance to be really, really good.
@KeithSmithNBA Keith, where are the celtics at with regard to the tax right now? I assume they're going to try to dodge the repeater and a move still needs to be made.
@McK_Chuck If he would have extended for that, absolutely. But he very likely wanted the max extension, which would have been a negative value contract
@AdamMKaufman Not all picks are created equal. Those are 2 extremely strong firsts. That is a better return than the Kawhi trade. And probably better than 4 crappy firsts
