@newinsatx You've also brought up an excellent point: juxtapositions in infra like this have/are becoming normalized. If you can drive down a road 100x until you finally notice it, we have a long way to go to achieve a truly usable multi-modal network.

@newinsatx Not justifying this horrible design but to provide some insight: Wurzbach Pkwy is a principal arterial that belongs to TxDOT. Since it was built using Fed $$$, they were required to include a "bicycle accommodation". You've been in SA/TX long enough to know where priorities sit.

It's looking like we've turned the corner at my house, so I'm going to tell you a story about love and a pandemic. It starts two weeks ago Monday. I taught class that morning, but by lunch I knew something was up. By afternoon, I knew I was sick.

@lestealana I feel that guilt, even leaving to go get things that aren't necessarily vital (like food) but to get craft supplies because that's what's going to keep me sane between staying inside because of pandemic and staying inside because I live in a cold af place now.

@desjudicata I made a white sangria with frozen fruit for 4th of July. We killed off the wine and I saved the fruit. It's still sitting in a sealed container in the fridge. I keep meaning to toss it into the blender. I should probably do that this weekend. Will let you know how it goes. 🤷‍♀️
