But hey, we can always help raise awareness about HIV and AIDS. Health education is crucial; it's as important, if not more, than the treatment itself.

@cebumd Another would be engaging in irresponsible sexual practices, alcohol and dr&g abuse. If we veer away from these, there would be a slim to zero chance of getting the virus.

Awareness is not enough. We must adhere to safe practices. #cnuvsmmcmicrobioclass

@cebumd One of the challenges in controlling HIV is lack of awareness. It's important that HCW, as well as those who know about HIV, deliberately educate the people especially the youth and young adults. More HIV cases are from these age groups. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio

@cebumd Based on the latest data released by DOH, Region 7 has the *6th highest number of HIV cases in the Phils. The incidence has declined since the 2nd quarter though! But yes, it is still very much a problem in this region. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
