@acrimonyand Eucharistic Adoration is one of the ways that I have been able to continue in my fervent dedication to Seminary Formation even in times of struggle. Being in front of Christ in the Eucharist is one of the best places to be besides the sacrifice of Holy Mass.

I have had more conversations this weekend about the Catholic Faith in the airport than I have in a long time. Many people are interested in my life as a seminarian and the Church in general. It’s amazing that my Diocese of San Angelo backpack and a smile starts so many friendly

Today I was blessed to attend the Transitional Diaconate Ordination of a great friend of mine in Costa Rica. The Church is truly blessed today to have another Deacon to serve her church on the way to Priesthood.

Liturgically speaking, that was probably the strangest mass I’ve served in Costa Rica. Beautiful yes but strange nonetheless. I have questions for our Diocesan Liturgists that’s for sure.

(3/3) God puts us in all sorts of situations and I’m forever grateful for what I was able to see and experience thus far in Costa Rica as a I l have earned a lot and as I am halfway through my time here I am excited to start this next stage in Costa Rica and learn even more.

(1/3) I was in Mass yesterday for the Vigil of the Nativity of St. John that Baptist and I got teary eyed at the beauty of a well prayed
Mass. As a seminarian I get spoiled by beautiful liturgies at the seminary all the time.

(2/3) However, I had not been able to see a wonderful liturgy for about two and a half weeks due to my living situation in Costa Rica, but that recently changed and I can tell you that the reverence a priest prays the Mass can make or break the life of the parish.

I had a great spiritual direction session today and it put a lot in perspective. I guess if I would have read between the lines of the last email from my formation advisor I would have seen it there as well, but I get it now.

@WeatherProf @NOAA For West Texas El Niño is great it generally means a milder and more rainy summer months and for the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts a less active hurricane season so I agree this is welcome news.

Officially starting my Spanish Immersion journey. First flight down from Dallas to Houston. Now breakfast in the airport and then flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. It’s a good sign that @ChickfilA is right by my gate in Houston.

It is all because the selling dealership messed up on the oil change before I brought the car and I am assuming striped the drain plug. Hopefully they will fix it tomorrow when we take it back to them to fix their mistake. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The crapshoot of doing your own maintenance on your car is the job that should be the easiest, one that I have done multiple times on at least six or seven different cars, is proving to be the most difficult. The other jobs I had to say were a breeze compared to this.
