Yes, thank you to Minnesota investigators, state agencies, @GovTimWalz ’s administration, the FBI, and federal prosecutors.
These fraud cases were not discovered by the people now holding a press conference. The investigations have been underway for years. State agencies identified suspicious activity, referred cases for investigation, cooperated with federal law enforcement, and helped build the evidence that ultimately led to these indictments.
The people who committed the fraud deserve prosecution. The investigators who uncovered it deserve credit. The existence of fraud is not evidence that Minnesota officials were complicit. The fact that investigators found it, documented it, and brought charges is evidence that the system worked.
@PortlynnM36509@RyanBergPhD@CSIS Lololol. Most people would say being a cabinet member is a better job than being a special envoy for a made up group. 😂
@warriors_mom@BillMelugin_@HiltonHotels The hotel had been getting threats from unknown individuals for lodging DHS agents. They just want to keep their staff safe. Why is that unacceptable?
@mkraju Well, AFGE members have continuing health benefits which likely won’t change if the tax credits end. So there’s that. Let’s hope leadership doesn’t cave to a very small percentage of Americans.
No one should be forced to flee, nor exploited or mistreated because of their situation as foreigners or people in need! Human dignity must always come first!
Why doesn’t our media show us more world news? There is a great deal happening in the world that we know little about. The media as a whole is to blame; check out alternative press, starting with independent sources. #DemsUnited
There’s no national day of remembrance — and there should be — for:
– Oklahoma City bombing (168 dead)
– Tree of Life synagogue (11 dead)
– Charleston AME church (9 dead)
Americans can condemn political violence while objecting to a day for someone they found deeply offensive.
