With the remaining people @Destiny2Team yall really need to focus on PVP. It is NOT fun. I have 10,000 hours in this game and PvP is just absolutely terrible. The balance is terrible, the gunplay is terrible. You can hit crit after crit and no kill but they turn around and blast you and you’re dead within milliseconds.

If they undid every single nerf to exotic armor and weapons there would be way more options in the exotic slot to use than 1 single meta every time. Like I stated before exotics should be in their own category when it comes to “balance”. My legendary rocket should not compete with my exotic rocket. My legendary sniper shouldn’t compete with my exotic sniper etc. you only get to use 1 exotic armor piece and weapon. Let them be strong.

Right. So is the solution is to nerf the good exotics to “balance” them or is it to focus on the things people aren’t using? The majority of my friends stopped playing because of the nerfs to the good exotics. Also, maybe the community could be less gatekeeper mindset and help new players get good gear. I would have loved to take my friends into hard content and help them get through it and get the rewards. Even after all these nerfs I can’t even tell you the last time I used the other exotic weapons besides 4 of them nowadays and I’m sure there are plenty of people who are in the same boat. Same thing with exotic armor. Just because wormgods and synthos are so strong it’s the only armor titans are using, maybe buff the other exotic armor so players have the option to turn the blind eye instead of what you think is “balancing” when it really just kills the fun and the game

New content shouldn’t be balanced around it in the first place. Exotics should be on their own level. New or old. Also average and new players will be more likely to want to play the game and get them if they’re not nerfed and are powerful. Unfortunately it’s too late to change anything and the damage is done. Please keep in mind Salt that a lot of average players don’t exactly line their views with you on nerfs because you’re such an elite player. Remember that skill is extremely variable and sometimes easy content for you is extremely difficult for someone else. So if DIV gives them a crutch, so be it. You also don’t have to use Div. You have a choice to make the game challenging for yourself and don’t have to effect others with your opinions.

Also, it’s one thing for the game to feel challenging but when does it become too hard and not accessible for everyone else? Nerfing these exotics makes the hard content harder for the average player. Destiny raiding doesn’t need to be as sweaty as some people think it should be. Having good and powerful exotics gets people into the endgame content like raids and that’s how it should be. The game died for many reasons. Nerfs, drama, loot chase. For me Destiny is my heroine. Seeing the exotic nerfs was disappointing and I can see why people would stop playing because of it.
