Very fortunate to be able to watch these young men over the last few years
Not only are they both tremendous baseball talents but they are outstanding individuals with high character who treat people right
Excited for them to be able to participate in #PGAAG24 and looking forward to watching them compete against the best in the country

It's almost four weeks since the horrific terrorist attack on #Israel. A lot has happened, the public debate has become heated and confused. Find thoughts from Vice-Chancellor Robert #Habeck in the video, putting the events in context. 📣With English, Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.
This is not some distant tragedy – the ties between Israel and the United States run deep.
It is personal for so many American families who are feeling the pain of this attack as well as the scars inflicted through millennia of antisemitism and persecution of Jewish people.
In cities across the country, local and federal law enforcement partners are closely monitoring for any domestic threats in connection with the horrific terrorist attacks in Israel.
.@jp_crawford and Ty France were the first to congratulate @BBBInnerCity’s All-Stars on securing the first-ever spot for a team to represent Seattle in the Commissioner’s Cup tournament, going down during All-Star Week!
The first ever Seattle team to play in the @MLB Commissioner’s Cup has been announced. The Baseball Beyond Borders Kings will take the field for the tournament during All-Star Week, and we were there when they got the news.
“Part of our mission as an organization is to dig deeper,” @BBBInnerCity Founder and CEO @bookiegates said. “It’s not just about how we look on the field - it’s about who we are and what we do off the field as well.”
We were at @TMobilePark as the Baseball Beyond Borders Kings players were told they would be the first team from Seattle to participate in the Commissioners Cup. The yearly youth baseball showcase features many urban youth academies and @MLBRBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities) programs across the country and beyond.
“It’s a great experience, and it gives us a better view of what can happen if we keep putting that work in,” Baseball Beyond Borders player Damico Parker said.
Seattle @Mariners players Ty France and JP Crawford were there to break the news to the team, honoring them for their hard work and dedication both on and off the field.
“Keep balling,” Crawford said. “You never know if this tournament can go and change your life.”
Gates is excited for the chance to showcase the program in front of their home crowd.
“There’s definitely intentionality between Major League Baseball, it’s youth programs division, and really seeing that the cup and other programs are a viable source to showcase the skills of student athletes,” Gates said. “This gives us the ability to have our program and RBI baseball on display in the Pacific Northwest.”
This year’s event will be held in Seattle during MLB’s All-Star week from July 7-10th.
