@OneOffDave1@funranium Yep...had a boss like that in the 90's. He was VP of marketing. I was building their website. He was aghast that I actually wanted to show their products on the website too "But then people will know what we make!" (They made industrial brushes it was in their name)
@jeriellsworth Had the action max and wow was it terrible...Still have a cuecat and an Ouya - but they just stashed away in my collection at this point.
@attoparsec Nice. Any details on the putty you used? I tried using Lacquer-Stik to do that on some custom buttons but wasn't happy with the results since it tended to stain the resin and just didn't give a good result on such small details.
Pretty happy with how my version of the 1976 COSMAC ELF comptuer came out. I'm sharing the design I came up with for a 3D printed case and stand in case anyone else wants to build one as well. https://t.co/Gvo7sbbFQ1 (via @printablescom)
@adamlamore @EddiePelikan@cwgabriel@krisstraub@TychoBrahe I had the same thought and gave it a try. The results did not disappoint me even if it didn't match @gabe's style like I asked it too: https://t.co/yqOwx9BOZJ
@CarlyeSueOrtiz It’s crazy that’s yumas science academy is in a district run by anti science nut jobs. I (and Katie) miss gsa…but I don’t miss crane at all
@gaya_tech @tedyapo I'm not sure. The media I was getting was sold by weight so the smaller stuff didn't fill my drum as well - so I had to use a mix when I tried smaller ceramic beads (with larger rods.) It did work better than just the large, but I didn't have enough small to try that by itself
@tedyapo I also tried walnut shells with car polish as a mild abrasive, it worked a tiny bit better than plain walnut shells - but still not worth the effort. Very small ceramic media and fine grit seemed to be the best results for me.
@tedyapo If you do use ceramic media + grit the trick is finding ceramic media that's small enough to get into the details. If you look at the knob you can see the inside of the knurls didn't get polished because the ceramic rods I used couldn't get in there.
@tedyapo I didn't really get a before - but this was how FDM came out. Didn't do much for layer lines - but did remove most of the texture from my MK3's textured bed
