Alabama does the same as Oregon. The age of majority in Alabama is 19. Yet a child who is 13 years can kick their parents out of the doctor’s exam room if the 13 year old child requests such. This has been the case since the 1970’s, apparently no one realized it. It is my suspicion this was done at the time so birth control pills could be prescribed without parental knowledge. These laws need to be changed now in all states, because parents need to have the say so of all medical treatment for their children that have not yet reached the age of majority.

In the Mountain Brook at Homewood girls soccer game, a formal complaint has been filed by Mountain Brook with the AHSAA due to the unsportsmanlike behavior of Homewood Athletics and Administration for using Homewood stadium’s video board to shine bright lights into the eyes of the Mountain Brook players during each and every one of their penalty kicks. This influenced the outcome of the game in which Homewood won in the 2nd round of penalty kicks. We trust the AHSAA will conduct an immediate investigation in that the integrity of the playoffs and AHSAA itself are at stake. @AHSAAUpdates
