The full video of a young English men getting arrested by two female police officers after defending himself against an attack by 3 foreigners in Birmingham has now been released.

He swung against one of the officers without connecting half a second after receiving a punch from one of the attackers and could not have known that he had just just been pushed up against a wall by a police officer. As soon as he saw that it was an officer, he didn’t swing again.

Despite the video evidence, the Birmingham police have announced that they support their officer’s version of the story and that the young man will be charged with assault against a police officer.

If sentenced, he will likely spend around 6 months to a year in prison as punching an officer is classified as an aggravated offence.

There was no effort by the officers to arrest the 3 foreign attackers.

A Bronze Age couple discovered buried together in what is now Ukraine, still embracing nearly 3,000 years after they were laid to rest.

Dating to around 1200–1000 BC, this burial belonged to the Vysotska culture. The man and woman were intentionally laid to rest face-to-face, their arms wrapped around each other in a shared grave alongside pottery and bronze ornaments.

The grave was discovered in a cemetery containing more than 100 burials, yet it was the only one in which two people were buried in such an intimate embrace.

Archaeologists believe the positioning was intentional, but its meaning remains uncertain. Some suggest it may have reflected a unique funerary ritual or an exceptionally close personal bond, though no definitive explanation has been found.

The National Archives of Sweden preserve the original Latin version of the first Ukrainian constitution—Pacta et Constitutiones Legum Libertatumque Exercitus Zaporoviensis ("Pacts and Constitutions of the Laws and Liberties of the Zaporizhian Host").

The document was written on April 5, 1710, in Bender (a port city on the Dniester River).

It was adopted 77 years before the U.S. Constitution (1787), 81 years before the Polish Constitution (1791), and 81 years before France's first written Constitution (1791).

Thirty years ago, on this day, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada adopted the Constitution of modern independent Ukraine, which had emerged from Soviet rule, thanks be to God.

Under this Constitution, it is the duty of the government to protect our lives, health, and security.

Some Western commentators who describe Ukrainians as a "young nation" might do well to remember that 316 years ago, Pylyp Orlyk, using nothing more than a goose quill, drafted one of the earliest constitutions in Europe. 😉
