To everyone fighting for Ukraine in the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – thank you for your service to our state, for your extraordinary courage, and for the strong results you deliver every day!
The Special Operations Forces have gone through all the battles of this war that were the most difficult, the most brutal, and the most important for Ukraine. Together with the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, our missile units, and our intelligence agencies, they also carry out missions in the area of our long-range sanctions against Russia for this war. The Special Operations Forces are also involved in the resistance in our temporarily occupied territory. Thank you for organizing such special operations, for supporting the resistance, and for creating exactly the kind of problems the occupier deserves.
And we always remember the price Ukraine pays to defend its independence, its territory, and its life. We honor the memory of the fallen warriors of the Special Operations Forces and all our Ukrainian heroes who gave their lives so that Ukraine may live.
Today, throughout the day, there were no missile strikes or “shaheds” targeting our infrastructure. This demonstrates that when the United States has the motive to really change the situation, the situation can change.
We are communicating with our partners – with the American side – about truly effective formats and truly necessary results.
Ukraine is ready for meetings, Ukraine is ready for decisions, and we expect our partners to be able to act as effectively as possible – in Europe, in the United States, everywhere. Exactly as required for a lasting peace.
We don’t miss out on any opportunity to achieve peace and guarantee security.
Today, we commemorate our heroes – the Heroes of Kruty. The defenders who held back the Bolshevik advance on Kyiv on January 29, 1918. They stood against a much stronger enemy, for they simply would not act any differently. Just as our people do now, they believed in Ukraine and rose to defend it when it was hardest.
And the independence of our country rests precisely on people like this, who at different times defended Ukraine from Russian aggression. Just like Mark Paslavskyi, Oleksandr Klitynskyi, Dmytro Kotsiubailo, Andrii Pilshchykov, Pavlo Petrychenko, and Liubomyr Sochenko. We remember each and every one of them.
At Askold’s Grave, I paid tribute to our heroes. Eternal glory to our warriors.
