So I made a vid about #fluorophores and visualising #disease for Visualise Your Thesis! Check out all the amazing vids from @Sydney_Uni here: https://t.co/hnzlTlpor1. I'd really love it if you vote for the People's Choice Award, and even more if you could vote for mine!๐
Well done @jiarun_@lizjnew and team on this article >> Strategies for organelle targeting of fluorescent probes - now published in Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry >> https://t.co/shPvOiGGJg ๐๐๐ @SydneyChemistry#nanoscience#fluorescent#sydneynano
This afternoon I had a meeting with Veronica @jiarun_ who is a joint PhD student between @newgroupchem and Peter Lay, another FRSN. Veronica's finishing up her PhD in the next few months.
This was a great experience! Thanks so much for the invite @all_isee and also to @ivyshih and @nurentasneem for their amazing presentations as well! I loved seeing their work and learned a lot :)
Just wrapped a fun guest lecture - 2021 version with shiny new art!
Thank you for the invite @all_isee .
Also I learnt a lot too seeing the work of the immensely talented @jiarun_ and @nurentasneem :)
We're looking for a #postdoc! Are you a peptide/synthetic chemist? Looking for work in Sydney?
My lab @SydneyChemistry has 2y funds for a lead chemist on our NHMRC cancer project on targeting telomeric proteins, approx mid-year start.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay I is encouraging to see women increasingly represented as role models especially in male dominated roles. Women continue to help each other as mentors, role models and friends, and Iโm grateful to have received guidance from great women in the past
Design tip: Visual analogies are a creative way to explain complex scientific concepts
We used visual analogy in this journal cover for @newgroupchem. Functional molecular components can be mixed and matched in the modular design of fluorescent probes. ๐ https://t.co/4W8Tk5Qjjs
Did you know that about 4.5% of the population is colourblind?
