lost profound interest in katseye since manons hiatus 💔 i used to #tune#in bc their lives were so funny with her. their dynamic changed drastically... also i will forever be on the side of someone who chooses their mental and physical health over industry exploitation
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia wdym di na uplift yung tao buong thesis niya nga is about real queer people???tapos yung pinagaantsahan niyo ay acknowledgements???? please get a fucking grip. ang performative nyo. im only replying to u because i used to respect u and and maybe see eye to eye pero wala talaga
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia as several other people have said. this is such a non issue. sasabihin mong bat nandito pa ako eh nagrereply ka din naman about a literal harmless thesis acknowledgement without any real repurcussions to the queer community.
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia and again why does she have to do that. in 1 small paragraph of her acknowledgements. when shes already mentioned the majority of her work IS dedicated to and shaped by real queer people. tunnel vision kayo pareho sa literal na acknowledgements ng tao e
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia when none of the corpos or the men who wrote those ships were what stuck to op. so whats the point of bringing that all up? mainstream can spark queer identity and you should be able to acknowledge that. you just think its what shaped the way we navigate queerness and its art
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia and just like i said... it's the first real exposure we had to queerness at such a young age. whats the real harm of bringing that up in the acknowldgements section of a thesis? why decry that part of understanding our identity?
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia im reading too much into a mere tweet of a queer local artist whos supposed to amplify our voices and not dismiss the exploration of our identities as cringe. my god. ang babaw rin ng tingin mo sa nilulugar mo if u think what u publicly say even online doesnt impact queer spaces
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia but i guess as long as our experience doesnt fit to ur standard its cringe. so much for advocating solidarity... you're pusing people out of diving deeper into queer spaces this way when u literally only see us as utak fandom. have a good day though
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia youmre putting people down dahil mababaw para sayo yung unang nagpaunawa sa identity namin. that's misplaced criticism that ive also been telling you tweets ago na labag sa adbokasiya mo as a queer artist. i looked up to you because you were a voice for us queer filipinos
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia pinagbabawal ko yung mag-cringe when nag ccringe ka kasi ang babaw ng queer experience ng iba? AGAIN im saying thats doing wonders for solidarity. which i know ur advocating for in ur work but i guess ur allowed to br critical of queer people and experiences on twitter. jesus.
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia this is obviously going nowhere because the both of you keep twisting my words lol. expecting everyone in the queer community to adhere to the same standard or experience as you is doing wonders for lesbian solidarity btw
@Deadbalagtas@rayjideguia nowhere did i say or imply i give the same depth to living lesbians and fictional characters. im just saying let a person acknowledge and thank what made her realize her identity. thinking thats cringe diminishes my image of u as a queer artist
@rayjideguia@Deadbalagtas expecting op to give credit to real queer representation in an acknowledgement section which we all know is highly personal to the author and has little to no bearing to the academe or the queer community is policing. pls give it a rest. u sound miserable
