@SpartanMike96 @CompletedStreet Counterpoint: NFL tailgating sucks. College football is the only good tailgating. And you often get to do it all over campus.
@LargeFamDad@BlackLabelAdvsr One would reasonably assume that several acres would be in the middle of nowhere, far from amenities and with long commutes? There is no free lunch.
@LinkofSunshine@harry__politics I do think there is an existential AI dread hanging over everything job-related.
Is it just vibes or are people reading the run that execs want to fire everyone and replace them with Clankers?
@AbHomineDeus Housing + persistent inflation are huge issues, especially for younger people. So many people feel that home ownership is not possible anymore, and it feels like buying a cup of coffee is a luxury.
But there is also the issue of big companies itching to fire everyone for AI.
@Calls_a_Spade@howard AI has a tendency towards bad engineering out of the box. It's tons of code, lots of libraries and dependancies and contradictions.
AI will allow a bad engineer to ship 10-100x more bad code.
@designedbyabin@shaolin_flow@DJ_CURFEW There is that and usability testing, both of which are time-consuming. The move away from both of these is why modern software is getting harder to use. It's a focus on visual design and lots of features.
@DJ_CURFEW@shaolin_flow I think your statements on user research would lead people to ask what exactly you think user research is?
Most of the big complaints about ClickUp are about the user experience, suggesting you have never invested much in research and testing.
@dr_swa6@GreenPlusAnE@HannahDCox A lot of elderly people should be living in an ADA-compliant condo with an elevator. They don’t need some kind of assisted living situation. But the detached single family house is a bad fit for them.
And because of this, govts give them money to retrofit their houses.
@GreenPlusAnE And many government programs will subsidize accessibility add-ons so they can stay in these houses instead of moving into something more appropriate.
And then people with kids won’t have a lot of options.
@markgurman They will need to make this touchscreen. Kids are all used to this from chromebooks and iPads. My kids constantly poke my MacBook Air screen.
