I also think the word day which I think should be translated as Period, may not necessarily refer to 1000 Earth Years.

A Period with God could be whatever time He wants,and could easily have been A billion Earth Years at that Time, after all the Earth was not formed yet.

Then the rocks and gas begin to coalesce, with gravity being the central force, and they form the sun (a star), the moon, the stars and galaxies, the planets and the moons, the asteroids, etc, basically the Universe.

In the first period , the big bang (and the light from that massive explosion) and from it the Universe was birthed

And in the 4th period of time, the Sun and Stars and Moon were forced, due to gravity.
