The truth is, as long as people continue to hold such views, Islamic terrorism will remain inevitable. Disgust is a powerful tool. Hitler wielded it masterfully, using demagoguery to infect an entire nation with it. The result? Nazi Germany didn’t just tolerate the extermination of Jews, they embraced it.

Now imagine when that same disgust doesn’t need to be manufactured, when it already exists, and worse, when it’s sanctified by religion. Imagine how that shapes perception, how it warps empathy, how it turns human beings into irritants, like flies that won’t stop buzzing around your ear, until the only instinct left is to crush them. Not out of anger, but out of a sense of cleansing.

That is how extremism works, not from ignorance, but from the unflinching conviction that killing is holy and that disgust, especially towards people who do not share the same faith as you, is divine.
