@VargasNi I just started reintroducing trad mediums to my work in grad school to kind of break down my skills back to the basics. I hadn't touched oils for 10+ yrs & coming back to it I found its incredibly forgiving & the closest to mimicking digital techniques.
The D&D Cat Trio will be available as prints this weekend at #MoCCA ! Stop by FIT tables 155 & 156 to find them and other amazing work from my cohort! I'll be roaming Saturday (4/1) & at the tables Sunday (4/2) from 1-3pm!!!
So Twitter is a mystery to this elder(?) millennial, it's #VisibleWomen day or something? But really I just wanna ask art Twitter how bad is it that I bought a 3/0 watercolor round brush for an oil painting ๐ฌ am I an art criminal now?
@rhineville Thank you for showing the level of love you put into not just this piece but your art as a whole! I also respect you, a legendary artist, being honest with effort V compensation. As a newbie its helpful. I hope the effort is repaid by fellow artists & fans supporting you tenfold!
@rhineville Color space & proofing is always tricky since there are so many variables ๐ตโ๐ซ I think the challenge is once something is made in ARGB, converting it to sRGB will always oversaturate. Maybe make a test painting without working in ARGB space in PS & see if it makes a difference?
@rhineville If you have monitor color space & PS as Adobe RGB, most browsers, phones etc are sRGB. Converting it to sRGB will never really get there because it's trying to interpret colors that didn't exist in Adobe RGB if that makes sense?
@rhineville Hmm interesting. I have my PS color settings (edit> color settings) to sRGB. If you are in Adobe RGB and browsers are sRGB it might explain why that's where the oversaturation is coming from!
@rhineville Not at all bugging! I am honored to be able to help :) sRGB is most universal across devices & especially browsers. I think even cintiq pro is wide gamut tho & I notice saturation differences. Try changing to be sRGB in monitor and also check on phones or other devices!
