Our #LongRead on this year's #ChemNobel is live! @robinson_julia managed to speak to Louis Brus and Moungi Bawendi for our feature. [1/7] https://t.co/e92CuuRdB7
Thanks to immigrants, the US won 75% of Nobel prizes in 2023. Without them, we only would have won 25%.
High skilled immigration is a policy lever for more innovation unlike anything else. Oh and its free.
I wanted to become involved with this because I felt there was a gap in community when I was younger. I hope PIs send their students to the first PoWER conference, where I bet students will form long-lasting networks.
This is the conference I look forward to the most for 2024!
Congratulations to Louis Brus, Moungi Bawendi, and Alexi Ekimov on their Nobel Prize in Chemistry! Here is a recent video of Louis providing his perspective on changes in science during his lifetime. #nobelprizechemistry#NobelPrize2023 https://t.co/ZJhPjS67sa
@NobelPrize Congratulations for this much deserved recognition! @JChemPhys is proud to be the home for some of the early work in this field, including the seminal papers by Brus in 1983 that started the field of colloidal qdots.
So excited to see this celebration of this new world of nanochemistry, physics at the boundary of length scales, and the promise of the properties emerging there. Congratulations to the deeply deserving winners and to all in the community!

I have amazing colleagues @UMNChemistry, but I'd like even more. We're running two faculty searches this year and look forward to reading all the exciting applications. #UMNProud#JoinUs

This is what health insurance companies do. They find a commonly performed procedure costing them money, cover it with red tape, then attribute their actions to physician greed. Aetna did it with cataract surgery last year. This is just the beginning. https://t.co/D48eUGN6Pa
