We should make it easier for our schools to use local buses for school trips. Although all under-22s are eligible for free bus travel, in practice many don’t have or have access to bus passes and schools end up footing the bill. My motion to Council today looks to change this. 🚌

Delighted that the LibDem budget got majority support at Edinburgh Council today.

A budget that:
🏫 stops £5 million of education cuts
🚗 injects £11 million extra to tackle our broken roads and pavements
🌳 more investment for parks
🌧️ new money for climate change action

ScotRail are relying on rolling stock that almost dates back to the age of steam.

Delays are not just costing passengers, but the Government too. That money should be available for updating trains and carriages.

Commuters and rail users need a quality service they can rely on.

Scottish Conference just endorsed a series of proposals to reverse the decline of Scotland’s bus network.

The Scottish Government has slashed financial support. It was a lifeline for operators.

Free bus passes are no use if communities don’t have the buses they need.
