I’m connected with a lot of people who work in K-12 education and they’re always so excited about summer. Summer is the most stressful time. There are tons of projects at work. Also, my kid is at home with me all day since I work from home, so I feel like a negligent parent.
@cardinestwit Yes, it was clear, but it was made for birds. It looked like this except she just had one bird in it. (Her bird looked like the green bird. So you get the whole picture!)
Mark Rober’s $60 Million Science Experiment | TED https://t.co/52E8fR964Q - @MarkRober is a national treasure. (Not the movie.) Is there an equivalent person out there for math, English, and social studies curriculum to cover our foundation subjects?
@UltraRunnerPod 30 minute commute.
90 minute is 3 hours of your day once you do both sides of it while 30 is only one hour. I’d prefer that extra two hours for something other than sitting in a car.
@cardinestwit Absolutely. We all waste time and money and energy, which delays effective treatments and keeps people in poorer health longer. The system(s) are all broken.
It's hard to instill smart tech habits in your teen when your spouse can no longer function without the TV/laptop/phone all going for him at the same time. "Ignore that bad example and do what I say."
@cardinestwit Women in general get the short stick because we've historically been "too difficult" to study. Our changing hormones make it really hard to have a control/baseline.
Even for women who have had a child, getting all the care options is iffy due to provider bias or insurance.
For the second day in a row, the official temperature in Las Vegas hit an all-time high for March.
It's the earliest we've ever hit 95°F... and the last day of winter.
I mean.. sure. “The Fuckening” just feels like the general term to describe all of life now. Politics, healthcare, morals, logic… can we just detonate the world now? How do we recover? I’m feeling bleak.
Las Vegas is currently observing its Hottest March Day on Record, with a high temperature of 94°F. 🥵🌡️
The previous March record was 93°F set on March 26th, 2022. The previous daily (March 18th) record was 90°F in 2017.

Yay?
I hate abnormally hot spring break and wish I had made vacation plans somewhere else. Instead, we went to Death Valley, roasted, and make poor life choices.
Las Vegas has officially reached 90°F for the first time this year at 1:35pm PST! 🌡️
⚠️ Reminder: It will get hotter. Take precautions and drink lots of water!
