Minimum wage today for anyone over 21 is £12.21 so that is 37hrs x 52 weeks = £23492

If it rises by 2% over the next 4 years it would be £13.22 by 2029 so that is 37hrs x 52 weeks = £25435

Further to that is the issue of benefits
Anyone on UC has an earnings limit and once that is passed they lose 55p of every additional £ earned

In that case a tax free lump sum or weekly income spread over a year would see that £600 reduced to £270 net gain

They really need to employ someone who understands numbers and not millionaires who scribble notes in relation to their petty cash
