College prof quickly approaching the time when "senior issues" will be of great relevance. Not liberal or conservative, but for what is right. Go Jags!
@stephenasmith Players choke. Referees choke. The ref choked on that play.
That being said, nothing can explain Duke’s epic collapse over the final 6+ minutes.
@Bakari_Sellers I agree, fear not in a way that will prevent a collapse of our country.
I didn’t understand what “dropping out” meant as a kid in the 60’s. Now I do. If this election goes the way I think it will, I’m done.
Fortunately, I may be old enough to be spared the very end.
@SpockResists You can put me solidly in the NO column as well.
I’ve spent most of my life defending the ignorant and uneducated, but that’s at an end. Regardless of how the POTUS election turns out, those people are a clear and present danger to the future of our country.
@ampalsson @harris_wins Well, to the extent you can take any politician seriously.
If Trump has taught us anything, it’s that you can say one thing today, exactly the opposite tomorrow, and fear no political consequences.
The good guys do it too, so let’s not get too comfortable.
@shortwave8669 @RadioFreeTom Oh, no…please don’t!
That may seem like a joke, but we’d be using Roman numerals within the year if Trump were elected.
Wonder what would happen if things went south with Italy?
@mrbigg450@MaryLTrump@djrothkopf Sometimes the only way to combat hate speech is with more hate speech. Unfortunately, the result is no better than if one side just let itself be run over by the other.
@ScottJenningsKY Scott, I’ve greatly respected you during your years at CNN, even though I rarely agree with what you have to say. I know you’re all about the GOP recapturing the WH, but I hope you’re not haunted later by having helped put Donald Trump back there.
@Pulaski1990 @ogden_robyn @Alan_Covington While calling someone the “smartest man in the room” is usually meant to be sarcastic, that’s not the case here.
He truly is.
@Foolscap8@TrdDavis@neal_katyal Even if everything out of his mouth was a lie, he delivered with politeness.
There’s still a large, though dwindling, segment of the population that values civility and politeness above all else.
@TrdDavis@neal_katyal I was taught that publicly criticizing someone when you don’t agree with them isn’t polite.
That doesn’t work in a debate, and Walz certainly could have been more combative. Still, his sense of civility was refreshing.
I’m glad many polls have him winning last night.
@MissNicoletta@danieldaycrypto@RadioFreeTom I once had a brilliant, talented friend who I last saw at an airport nearly 40 years ago in Hare Krishna attire.
She recently retired as distinguished professor at a major university.
I don’t know what turned her around but unfortunately, we can’t do that for 50M people.
@MissNicoletta@danieldaycrypto@RadioFreeTom Exactly.
I will have finally had enough of it.
At least if Harris can pull a miracle, we have a chance. With Trump back in office, there is none.
I find it amazing that even one person can’t see that, much less half of the voting population.
@MissNicoletta@danieldaycrypto@RadioFreeTom I still watch enough to have some idea of at least what seems to be going on.
If Trump wins, I’m done. I’ll likely become as ignorant as those who have us where we are now.
My mental and physical health are worth something.
