The leaked Mass Effect Universe trailer has convinced me that BioWare actually did have a confident direction for this game and good reasons for it to exist. It has renewed my appreciation for the power of this IP and the incredible legacy that follows it.
- Mass Effect was the first major video game franchise to allow players to carry their exact save file, all of their previous choices included, into the next game.
- Mass Effect introduced iconic elements such as the dialogue wheel and mid-scene action prompts (Renegade/Paragon).
- Mass Effect invested true AAA production values into both male and female version of Commander Shepard, absolutely changing how female RPG protagonists were depicted and voiced. FemShep is still many people’s favorite version of the character.
- Mass Effect bridged old-school tabletop style RPGs and modern cinematic action role-playing, paving the way for games like Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher series, and others to even exist in the first place. (The Witcher 1 was even built on BioWare’s engine)
- Mass Effect revolutionized meaningful romance in video games, raising the bar of quality for writing and making it a must have feature for modern RPGs.
- Mass Effect proved that video games could handle long-form, multi-entry, franchise stories and characters in a way that rivals TV, books, and film.
This is an intellectual property that can’t be left to die, it still has so much left to give and so many more stories to tell in the hands of the right people.
Please someone #SaveMassEffect.
If you love story driven video games with rich lore, awesome characters and choices that shape future events and later entries, do yourself a favour and pick up Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.
Doesn't matter the platform, just get it. It's an incredible trilogy.
Dynamic pricing is greed laid bare. It should be kept as far away from English football as possible. If it ever becomes an accepted part of the sport in this country, match-going fans as we know them are fucked.
Well done to everyone that guessed the correct answer. It is of course @gmccleary12. Any excuse to bring this banger back to your timelines. 🚀

Consider this a national plea @SkySports. 📢
Portsmouth play Blackburn this weekend so for nostalgia when Simon Thomas goes for a live score update from Fratton Park , please, on behalf of the nation, make it be the legend that is @chris_kammy? 🙏
Make a nation smile, come on - MAKE THIS HAPPEN @SkyFootball 👍
Yours,
The Nation

Apparently, when England games are on, domestic violence spikes across the country.
Now, if you’re the type to have a booze & then bash your wife or girlfriend… you’re a coward of the highest order.
You’re a loser,you’re a pathetic, weak man.
Go look in the mirror if that’s you.
I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
People don’t realize how much this could change the gaming market.
When physical games disappear, it doesn’t just affect collectors. It affects the entire ecosystem around gaming.
Retro game stores? Many of them survive because people still buy, sell, and trade physical games. As physical media declines, some of those stores will have a much harder time staying open.
Collector’s Editions? If everything becomes digital, what’s the incentive? Are people really going to spend $200+ for a few digital cosmetics and a downloadable license? A huge part of what made those editions special was owning something tangible.
And don’t think retro prices won’t be affected. As fewer physical games are produced, the older ones become even more desirable. Supply goes down, demand goes up, and prices climb even higher.
This isn’t just about preferring discs over downloads. It’s about ownership, preservation, accessibility, local game stores, collectors, and the future of gaming as a whole.
There’s so much more at stake than people realize, and I don’t think the long term impact is good. #supportphysicalmedia
Hamilton at 41 years old just won his 106th Grand Prix for his third different constructor.
He is now 41 points behind a 19-year-old for the championship.
At what point do we stop asking if Hamilton is finished and start asking if everyone else is in trouble?
RT for Hamilton still wins it.
