Native Georgian, father was a Bama grad! Wonderful wife, two sons (UGA and GT), two DiL (UGA and GT), 4 grands - so we are an “ecumenical” family! Retired
@Vol_Football@espn@ReceDavis can anyone tell me why Tennessee changed the “block T” at midfield? I’m the farthest thing from a Vol fan but that logo looks hideous
@Vol_Football@espn@ReceDavis can anyone in the Vol Nation tell me why RT is their fight song? It says NOTHING about the University and NOTHING about football??? Has there not been any UT grad that could pen a fight song that might come close to rivaling “Yea Alabama”??
@BBarber60@geauxpurp Couldn’t agree more. I was hoping he had turned himself around at Ole Miss and perhaps had grown up a bit. NOT! Still a spoiled baby who just can’t help not being the center of attention. Time to grow up Lane!!
@lfaticus3@PeteThamel Check your history dude! SEC stepped in and Bama complied. Issue with LSU is that Lane and LSU were looking to defy the SEC. We have to have some place where rules can be made, interpreted and enforced.
@Togo77@AGLizMurrill And I didn’t agree with that move either. And the SEC was against it and declared him ineligible abd Ba complied. There is still an NCAA issue with European pro basketball players coming to US schools to play CBB. Folks tend to ignore that dynamic.
@norsworthynate@PeteThamel I don’t think Chambliss should have gotten an extra year. Great kid but that’s a bad precedent. Another example of a “local”, hometown judge is making rules that affect all of CFB. State abd local judges should not be able to overrule NCAA rules.
@ShoughSzn@On3@Clowfb So typical LSU. Quick to pound your chest BEFORE you do anything and quick to exit and start the excuse (Lane) train! Just “ let LSU be LSU!” Some things never change. Never a question abt talent. Character/discipline?? Lots of ??
@AP@ReceDavis@ESPN_BillC how can IU be in the AP Top 10?? don’t need top teams to play sissy schedules. tons of credit to OSU going to Austin. IU, come on. Great coaches, good players, tons of $. Schedule like a champ. Get some 🥜 and play some big OoC/SEC games. buck up!
@ESPNBooger@ESPNDari@ReceDavis some things change, some thing never do such as LSU “beating their chests” before they do anything. How fitting that a player that Lane helped navigate his legal challenge beat him. No way #6 should be playing but so fitting to break LSU’s ❤️.
Interesting to see the “best conference in CFB lose to Miss St, WF, OSU and Texas on the same Saturday (after a less than stellar Week 1 OoC showing). Let’s be honest, it’s the BigTwo or BigThree and bunch of average teams. Meanwhile the SEC is a gauntlet! IU sched is a joke
@ReceDavis@ESPNDari@PeteThamel OSU loses by a point on the road to a top 5 team while IU beats Howard (after N Texas in week 1) and IU moves ahead of OSU by 2 spots. WHEN is light gonna be focused onhow pathetic IU schedule is this year? NW, Rutgers, Minn & Purdue?? Come on!
@ReceDavis@CoachNeuheisel congrats to OU/UM & OSU/UT fur playing a quality OoC opponent. Who did IU play?? HOWARD!!! Well, maybe Howard is better than Purdue. Or at least would give em a good game. IU’s schedule is shameful for a quality team that will factor in CFP.
@CFBModernity@chris_m_landry AMEN!! Lane wants ALL the benefits AND no responsibility to act in line for the greater good. There is NO greater good with Lane, it’s ALL and ONLY about Lane.
@chris_m_landry Either you can follow rules or not. Lane ALWAYS wants a different set of rules. An adult knows you’re gonna have times where you may not care for or agree with a rule. But when u joined the org and have the benefits you gav up the right to have your own way on everything.
@AndyBergeron11@davidpollack47 They didn’t get screwed. They got 4 years, which is what they signed up for in 2022. Yeah, it’s a bummer but remember the NCAA didn’t take anything from them. They never had it. Others got it. So?? They hit NIL, others didn’t???
@BobBizot@davidpollack47 I sure did. Just like when Pavia was granted another year. Flimsy arguments in both of those, just like this one. Just find a sympathetic, hometown judge who will rule in your favor. How about a central court charged with having logic, consistency and cares about the game.
