#nacis2021 watch party in Harpers Ferry, WV, with Becca and @Carto_ALex and Frankie dog who seems to be more interested in squirrels than the talks, very rude. Also, matching shirts

@JGoworowska There are lots of NPS maps that not north up. Pretty much all of the 3D maps fit that category. Look at Katmai, Kenai Fjords, Gateway Arch, Crater Lake, for starters. I can find more if you like! https://t.co/M0TAWXw9VG
"I wanna hang a map of the world in my house. Then I'm gonna put pins into all the locations that I've traveled to. But first, I'm gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won't fall down." —Mitch Hedberg
@FlashMapper@FlashMapper would have been great to meet at NACIS, maybe next time. Thanks and loved your talk as well and what you did with Tom’s Maui relief, so very cool. Yes, I’ve referred to them as monopoly buildings, too!

If there is ever an award for those who consistently, year after year, submit their @NACIS abstract moments before the deadline, then I think I’ll be in the running, but it has been submitted! See you in Norfolk in October!
The new map of North Cascades by @jimeynard has a 3D inset of Stehekin. This mountain community at the end of fjord-like Lake Chelan has no road access. To get there, most visitors take a ferry 50 miles (80km) up the lake.
