Huge numbers of white Europeans taken as slaves - it's literally where the word slave comes from

How slavery was mostly committed by the Middle East and Africa .

And GB only partook for a relatively short period before borrowing so much money to free the slaves it took until recent years for tax payers to pay off the sum.

It was GB who banned it and then spent years patrolling the seas to stop the likes of Africa continuing ( you may find it still hasn't stopped today in places of Africa and Middle East) .. and the Navy lost hundreds of men battling the African squadron .

Get over yourself and be proud of what the Brits did as we have more to be proud about than many.

I myself was once one of these idiots that fell for this lie.

I thought Liverpool was the epicentre of slavery and it was all operated by evil white men from our docks.

Then I stopped being a dickhead and woke up. I realised it was an African industry that traded with the Arabs long before we got involved and still do to this day. Millions of Africans are still in slavery and they do nothing. They don’t even speak out about it.

I also learned that it was the British that ended slavery in the civilised world. Spent a tonne of money and many British sailors lost their lives fighting it.

But somehow people have managed to frame it as a solely white on black crime and ignore that the rest of the world did it too. The word slave even comes from Slav. From the Slavic slaves in Eastern Europe. The Vikings took white slaves too.

Every race has enslaved or been enslaved at some point. That’s just how the world worked. But racists like to weaponise it and play the victim so they have a free pass to hate white people for shit that didn’t happen to them.

I’ve got another loony moment from the Oxford Islam debate for you, now they’ve been forced to release the video.

Here, Aisha Khan told @TRobinsonNewEra (whose given name is Stephen), that he should be grateful for “the protection and generosity of the Muslim Palestinian President and a mostly south-Asian executive committee” from the mob which had gathered outside the venue – who wished to stop this debate on Islam from happening – otherwise he would be “quite literally cooked.”

It’s hard to understand how she thought this was an argument for not being suspicious of Islam. Her claim is that simply debating it in a student club apparently required Muslim “generosity” and “protection” to hold back a “riot” which would otherwise harm the speakers. It’s like saying you shouldn’t be suspicious of the mafia because their ‘protection’ keeps you safe from harm.

Before the debate, Aisha told me she liked my yellow phone cover, and that my speech at the Union in 2024 was a highlight of her time there, which was nice.

As an aside, Aisha is a popular name usually given after Aisha bint Abu Bakr, the third wife of the Islamic figure Muhammad, and the daughter of his close companion Abu Bakr. Muhammad held her in very high esteem, famously stating that her excellence over other women was like the excellence of tharid (a traditional meat and bread dish) over all other foods. According to canonical hadith collections like Sahih al-Bukhari, she was six years old when the marriage contract was made and nine years old when the marriage was consummated. Others debate this interpretation.

Official statement by @beirasplace on @AmnestyUK's recent climbdown.

"Beira’s Place acknowledges the apology published by Amnesty International together with the undertaking to commission an independent external review into how two reports containing such false and harmful allegations could be published and promoted in its name.

The permanent removal of both reports is a tacit acceptance that they contained allegations which were false and defamatory of a large number of organisations which it classed as ‘gender critical'.  While the apology is welcomed it does not rectify the reputational damage caused to Beira’s Place.  In particular the apology fails to recognise that those most severely impacted are the staff who work day in day out to support survivors of sexual violence and the many women who need and use the service.

Although the apology extends to those groups classed as 'gender critical' it is noteworthy that many other organisations were wrongly defamed by Amnesty in both reports forsimply upholding the protected belief that sex is real, immutable and important in many areas of life.  Those organisations also deserve a written apology."
