@JustinPerri8 Has any research been done into how the model performs in high leverage environments? (let’s say conference tourneys and ncaa tourney) I have a couple theories that basically due to the significance of the game teams are more likely to underperform shooting metrics
@JonPgh What would it look like if you gotMunoz or karinchak or Fairbanks ( a guy on the wire most of the year since he wasn’t a closer) vs. Josiah gray? That feels more comparable tbh
@JonPgh@draftcheat Shoulda waited 2 weeks and you coulda picked a player in the 120 ADP range instead of 160 but gotta strike while the stove is hot I guess
@JonPgh Love the velo and spin percent breakdown. Simple way to look at it but something I hadn’t thought about. I’m forsure adding it to my analysis now so I appreciate it
@jrobb0211@AlexFast8 Should’ve never been in this position tbh. It was just tough to see the Ump call strike 1 on a ball outside the zone instead of ball 3. Never know how the AB finishes but 2 borderline calls that go the Phillies way in the 9th which sucks as a padres fan in a close game
@PitcherList 3 of the 4 teams that would be considered “rusty” won Game 1 of the series where you’d expect the most “rust” to show. I think the real advantage from the wildcard series is that you can have a pitching advantage in games 2-4 depending on how everything shakes out
@JonPgh One was in coors which is basically irrelevant because it’s coors and I disagree with selling on a SP with top prospect pedigree because of 2 “bad” starts. While he can’t sustain the success pitching that way i wouldn’t be in a rush to sell. Who you targeting in a return?
@rotodoctor Starting wheeler. I’m optimistic since players are coming back from the Covid IL pretty quickly this year. Also some bad matchups for my SPs on the bench.
@JonPgh My worry with Kim is the current platoon. I agree with the upside but the path to playing time and being fantasy relevant is not there IMO in weekly leagues as long as Abrams is on the roster. Same with when Tatis comes back so it just depends on format
