Just back from the Philippines. One of the most exciting digital asset markets in SEA right now, jumping to 4th globally in TRM Labs' Country Crypto Adoption Index.
Their regulators get it. Collaborative, forward-thinking, focused on outcomes: consumer protection, innovation, growth. Rare combo.
Met great people at the Department of Finance including Secretary Frederick Go, the SECβs Chairman Francis Lim, and the BlockShoals team. Real conversations about where the industry is heading.
Big one: the SEC's PhiliFintech Innovation Office just gave BlockShoals in-principle approval under StratBox. This is what good regulation looks like. Build pathways, not walls. Programs like that signal that the Philippines is serious. Confidence attracts capital. Capital funds innovation. Flywheel starts here.
Bullish on the Philippines. And crypto - buying the dip. More soon. π΅π

At first glance, the Philippines may seem small on a world map, but appearances can be misleading. With over 300,000 kmΒ² of land spread across its islands, the country is actually larger than many assume.
This misconception largely comes from the Mercator projection, one of the most commonly used map styles. While it preserves shape and direction, making it useful for navigation, it significantly distorts size. Areas near the poles appear much larger, while countries closer to the equator, like the Philippines, are minimized.
Because of this, places like Greenland often look enormous, sometimes comparable to Africa, when in reality, it spans about 2.1 million kmΒ², roughly seven times the size of the Philippines, not dramatically larger as maps may suggest. Meanwhile, the Philippines even exceeds the land area of the United Kingdom, which measures around 243,000 kmΒ².
Maps help us understand the world, but they donβt always tell the full story. Recognizing how projections influence what we see allows us to better interpret global size and scale, and appreciate the Philippines for its true geographic extent. #Philippines #map #cartography
Who cares about the PSE?
Anyone who cares about jobs, innovation, and national growth.
The stock marketβs decline isnβt a financial story β itβs a mirror of wasted ambition.

Whatβs the worst thing other than corruption at elite levels?
Delayed justice allowing stolen funds to disappear into thin air, este, into crypto and even into US dollar.
For an import dependent country, we canβt afford a very weak currency. The chartist in me is seeing potential technical breakout of the USDPHP. The patriot in me wants this death spiral to be nipped in the bud.
It is the worst possibility as imports become more expensive and we have to increase our debt just to be able to buy essential imports like oil and other commodities.
We have to restore investor confidence fast. Although our financial institutions believe that there is no reason to panic, we donβt want to go into that position that we will be testing the limits of market forces.
