Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me & other Americans on my trip to Palestine.
When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers & continued our detention.
They made a huge mistake.

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING - MOSTAFA ZIKO:
🗣 "The referee is unfair, God is sufficient for me and the best disposer of affairs. He's wasting the effort of an entire nation."
"The cup is being given to Argentina."
The commitment some people have to being absolutely insufferable and miserable is almost admirable. It’s the Fourth of July. Eat a hot dog. Watch fireworks. Call your family. Love the country that gave you the freedom to post this nonsense.
NEW: The morning after the socialists swept, the establishment had its excuse ready: Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier only won because of gentrification.
It was a convenient narrative.
It is also false. And we can prove it:

@ZacharyBraiterm@ayatr0llah lol. this is clearly very hard for you. my partner is a born and raised Dominican New Yorker from the Bronx and couldn’t have been more excited to vote for Darializa. I’m sorry for your loss and good luck to you!
Additional data from the New York Times and VoteHub confirms my Election Night analysis:
Darializa Avila Chevalier won Black voters versus Adriano Espaillat.
But you wouldn't know this by the way the establishment has reacted to her victory.
@ZacharyBraiterm@ayatr0llah You obviously have a set narrative to push but the data speaks for itself. https://t.co/JmxpNUTnSe
I’m sure @MichaelLangeNYC will have the best detailed analysis soon.
@ZacharyBraiterm@ayatr0llah She did *best* in more gentrified areas, but she *also* did well in less gentrified areas of Harlem & that are still majority black. It’s not possible to win in ny-13 off white transplants alone & the coalition she won with is more broad than that.
@ayatr0llah@ZacharyBraiterm The area around Columbia is only 8% of the district. Even if you look at the most heavily Dominican precincts east of Broadway in Washington heights, Darializa is still pulling about a third of the vote there in most precincts, even more in some.
@ayatr0llah@ZacharyBraiterm Espaillat surely did better among older black voters than young black voters, but my sense is she still got significant support from older black voters as well. Zohran only lost black voters over 50 in Harlem last summer by 6 points. NYT has her winning majority black precincts.
My favorite figure from @ElliscbIV’s fantastic new piece: Espaillat carried plurality-Hispanic precincts, but Chevalier won Black precincts, mostly in Harlem, and crushed him in white precincts.
"It pains me that people think I'm not proud to be Dominican, because I am. ... I'm proud to be part of a generation of Dominicans and New Yorkers who reject racism and divisive politics and who fight for a future of solidarity and dignity for us all."
A bunch of DC elites and twitter commentators tried to make the NY-13 election about 5-7 year old sh*tpost tweets of a person who was at the time a private citizen w/ no public following. Voters in NY-13 didn’t fall for it.
Almost the entire establishment stood by and stayed silent while Espaillat’s surrogates threw racist, anti-black, anti-Haitian attacks and insults at Darializa. Those politics of hate and division and divide and conquer lost tonight.
