🇨🇦 Canadá admite que la agenda climática de Trudeau fue una estafa – Carney vuelve al petróleo para salvar la economía 👇

El primer ministro Carney ha reconocido públicamente que la obsesión climática del gobierno de Justin Trudeau durante una década fue un error grave que contribuyó al estancamiento económico de Canadá.

En un video de 17 minutos, Carney describió las políticas verdes de su predecesor como “costosas” y “divisivas”, y anunció un giro radical: cancelación del impuesto al carbono para consumidores, eliminación del tope de emisiones al sector petrolero, aprobación de nuevos oleoductos (uno hacia la costa oeste con capacidad de un millón de barriles diarios hacia Asia y otro de oeste a este), y expansión de las exportaciones de gas natural licuado.

Carney aceptó que las emisiones de Canadá aumentarán en los próximos años y que el país ha incumplido sistemáticamente sus objetivos climáticos, quedando incluso por detrás de EEUU en reducción de emisiones.

Este cambio responde a la necesidad urgente de reactivar una economía que lleva años sufriendo las consecuencias de priorizar la ideología climática por encima de los recursos naturales que históricamente enriquecieron al país.

El giro canadiense se produce en un contexto geopolítico inestable y con una fuerte dependencia del mercado estadounidense, que recibe más del 90% de sus exportaciones energéticas.

Aunque Carney habla de diversificar hacia Asia, la realidad es que Canadá sigue necesitando a su vecino del sur, especialmente ahora que EEUU no renovará el USMCA y lo someterá a revisiones anuales.

El nuevo gobierno parece haber entendido, aunque tarde, lo que otras naciones ya constataron: tras billones de dólares invertidos en energías renovables, los países siguen recurriendo al petróleo, el gas, el carbón y la energía nuclear cuando enfrentan crisis reales de suministro.

Canadá, rica en recursos, fue una de las últimas en reconocer que la agenda climática de Trudeau no solo fue ineficaz, sino que le costó una década de crecimiento perdido.

El desafío ahora es pasar de las palabras a los hechos concretos.

Trump's approval rating t's under 40% percent, and his disapproval rating is around 60% percent, and we have an election coming up that if it's actually run fairly and counted fairly is still with all of the shenanigans going on, and there are many of them, and all of the Supreme Court rulings in Trump's favor, still likely, to put, the opposition into a majority in at least one of the houses of Congress. So maybe, just maybe, our very weak, and, seemingly failing democratic institutions could end up being a check, on this, quite miserable political class
that we have, and that would be the peaceful way out in the end.
