This week probably about 70% of our football guys are off at the school church camp. You know what?? They will be better for it! The “summer grind” is HIGHLY overrated. Yes we need to train. We need to get better. Taking time to let kids be kids is training and is getting better. We had one of our best players miss the last two weeks. He did an internship. He said to me “I can’t believe how strong I feel today lifting. I have not done anything but work on cars and change tires for two weeks”. My response? “I could have told you that you’d be stronger, faster etc”. No brainer. The brain craves variety and variability. Go to camp. Go on vacation. Go do kid stuff. Just make sure you get your work in before and after, be consistent year round and breaks will give you super powers!

We finished out our season today after the State Meet. It was a fun year of competing, getting better, laughing and learning. Thanks to all the athletes, coaches, and supporters that made this season successful!

Right now, all over the country, people are running for their local school boards. Many of these people are running because they didn’t like the mask mandates schools had to put in place for the safety of students and staff, they think CRT is coming to their local school district
