@jordanbpeterson Because obviously you’re a very intelligent person who is not lacking the critical thinking skills of a paper clip. https://t.co/Gy44mhwBzh
@jordanbpeterson@BjornLomborg Fuck off climate change denier. You are a nobody and the only people who consider you am “intellectual” have the IQ of a peanut.
@gpprine @jordanbpeterson@BjornLomborg George H. W. Bush put in policies to mitigate that. Back when being conservative didn’t mean being a mouth-breathing science-denying asshole
@DaddyDennis22 @TunguskaGame @MikeLoychik If all of those were built for the sole purpose of killing people, then yes you should. Perhaps looks at every other developed country on the planet and ask yourself why you’re an outlier?
The NRA love to talk about “law-abiding” gun owners vs “criminals”. But most gun-related deaths are from people with no criminal record—the so-called “good guys”. They’re often intimate partner homicides, suicides, etc. Having access to a gun makes it easier to act on impulse.
We absolutely have the means to address all of these issues; what we lack is the political will. If our world leaders treated the climate crisis with the urgency it demands, transformative change would be possible.
Many seemingly “sensible” reservations about electrifying everything (how will the grid handle the extra demand? where is the EV charging infrastructure?) are really just a stalling tactic to keep us hooked on fossil fuels. Don’t fall for this concern trolling.
