پاکستان اور بھارت دو ایٹمی پڑوسی ہیں، ایک ایٹمی طاقت کیطرف سے بغیر تحقیقات و شواہد کے پڑوسی ملک پر الزام لگا کر اُسکے دریاؤں کا پانی بند کرنے کی دھمکی کھلا اعلان جنگ ہے۔ اگر دریاؤں کا پانی بند کیا گیا تو بھارت کیطرف سے دریا پر کھربوں ڈالر سے تعمیر کردہ پانی کے ذخیرے/ڈیموں پر حملہ کرنا پاکستان کا حق دفاع تصور ہو گا۔ کیا بھارت ایسی کوئی حرکت کر کے اپنا ناقابلِ تلافی نقصان کروانے کو تیار ہے؟ ایسی صورت میں بھارت نے اگر روایتی جنگ کو پوری سرحد پر پھیلایا تو کیاایٹمی پاکستان بھارت کی پہلی سٹرائک کا انتظار کریگا؟ کیا امریکہ دو ایٹمی طاقتوں کے بیچ دنیا کی پہلی براہ راست جنگ کو روکنے کے لئیے اپنا کردار ادا کریگا؟ اگر بھارت نے سندھ طاس معاہدے کو معطل کر دیا ہے (جو وہ قانونی طور پر نہیں کر سکتا) تو پھر کیا دو ایٹمی طاقتوں کے بیچ دیگر حساس معائدے برقرار رہ سکینگے؟
