JKCA Studio is a founder-led studio in Seal Beach. We build and look after websites, apps and the brand around them for resorts, wineries, restaurants, ministries and owners who still answer the phone.
Running since 2011. The whole brand, handled.
Small business owners and freelancers: if you look after the website, we'd like to partner with a few of you.
We send you one of our guides. You share a short, honest clip about what you fixed with it, and mention we sent it. DM us or email [email protected].
Guides from $29.
@LeanderToney Good rule, Leander. Worth pinning. One add: turn on auto-renew inside that account, so a real expiry never sneaks up and the fake ones have nothing to scare you with.
@HIGHLANDDRAGON That's a lot of folding, bless those hands. If it saves you some prep, we made a free kids coloring pack you can print as many times as you like: https://t.co/sRRT5VKKZZ Hope the Hawkeyes make it worth it.
@AbhishekGrowth Agreed, and protect the moat too. Keep the listing owned by a company email with a second manager on it, not one person's login. We've seen owners locked out of years of reviews because one person held the only login.
@J_T_Franklin@googlemaps Good, keep everything in that one case so it doesn't reset. Once it's back, this kit helps put the listing, domain, email and site in the company's name with a second owner on record, so one bad edit can't wipe it: https://t.co/Kajg8eVigi
@bastienperez_ Agreed. For anyone making the jump, the move itself is the risky part: list every old URL, set up redirects before switching, and export posts plus form entries. Most lost traffic after a migration is just broken old links.
@MichaelJecks Glad it helps, Michael. One more for the move: keep the old site up until the new one's redirects are tested. Good luck with the new build, and shout if anything snags.
@Fury_Fitness_@GoogleMyBiz Annoying timing. As far as I know the video is more about one unbroken take than daylight: sign or street outside, then inside with your gear, then something only staff can open. Lights on after close may be fine if the sign reads. Hold off on more edits till verified.
@MembyPoudyal@googlecloud@GoogleWorkspace Painful catch-22. In the DM, ask them to confirm in writing whether paying for a month now would cost you the credit. Until then leave your MX records alone, so mail flows the second the plan is live, and give key contacts a backup address for the gap.
@George92716654@squarespace Rotten, especially with your ACN still active. Ask them for the exact reason and how long until the name is released; there's usually a window. If it's a .com.au, the eligibility check wants the company name and ACN to match the registry exactly. Screenshot your DNS too.
@thedodgydriver@WordPress Ha, that tracks, Ian. Facebook groups are a great training ground for it. Sounds like the board will be in good hands. Good luck with the launch!
@ExciXiyimo Exactly, Xiyimo. An untested backup is a hope, not a plan. If it helps, I wrote that list up as a handover kit you can drop into proposals: https://t.co/Kajg8eVigi
