Both men's and women's cross country closed the 2025 season today at the NCAA Division III Championships. The men's team took third overall after being edged out of second place by just one team point and the women's team took 23rd overall.
The men's team was led by All-American performances from Isaiah Hammerand, Lance Sobaski, Eli Larson and Jack Kinzer. Four All-Americans is the most in Wartburg men's cross country history and ties the 2022 women's team for most in school history.
The women's team was led by Maddie Merna, who finished 104th overall with a time of 22:49.4.

No. 2 men's cross country win the Division III Midwest Regional meet with a team score of 30 behind top-10 performances from Isaiah Hammerand, Lance Sobaski, Jack Kinzer, Eli Larson and Tyler Schermerhorn 🔥
This marks the second-straight Midwest Regional title and sixth all-time for the Knights!
