So the ZX Spectrum turns 40 today. I can still remember our first one. It was second hand and cost my dad £8 because it wasn't working.

Turned out that we could fix it by replacing the failed component with one salvaged from a broken fax machine.

@WiteWulf If they're just two text files consisting of the numbers (one number per line) then you can sort them and use comm to compare the files.

The man page for comm should give you enough information to show only those line that appear in one file.

@MarkWithall I just went with atan2. There were some issues with the precision of floats, but it was good enough to get the correct answer.
