@Fortnums Hi I have been trying to contact you to cancel an order since Saturday. I have tried email, the online form (apparently the email address given for those purposes on order email is not checked?), WhatsApp, calling customer services, and DM to no avail. Please advise
@Fortnums Good evening. Have been waiting to be connected to a member of the customer service team (via Whats App) since Saturday afternoon. Is that a standard wait time at the moment or do I need to re-start the process? Thank you!
@SW_Help All credit to the driver /guard on the 12.47 Salisbury to EXD for their attempts to resolve the situation, but a 3 carriage train to the SW at Friday lunchtime in August…. Really?
@CrimeGirI Bit late to the party, and neither is part of a series (as far as I am aware) but might I recommend Lawrence Durrell’s White Eagles over Serbia and Colin Forbes’ Avalanche Express? Both pretty gripping reads (if a bit of their time) neither is particularly graphic
@Joanna__Hardy Clearly some sort of judicial Narnia. Now, which DFS (or competitor) hosts the equivalent of Platform 9 3/4 to access this magical world?
@nearlylegal Particularly (if any sort of possession claimed) if not registered at HMLR. Once had great fun trying to work out how to meet the evidential requirements for proving title given the deed of grant (from I think James I) was on vellum and held in the National Archives.
@RichardHarwood2 Legal representatives! But no waste recycling centres in sight, so maybe autocorrect had the same thought in mind. Though there are probably several such facilities rather closer to the Inquiry venue than Wimbledon
Autocorrect has really excelled itself today. ‘Inquiry’ became ‘I squint’ (to be fair, not an uncommon expression when trying to make out detail on too small plans pasted into proofs). ‘Womble’ became Wimbledon. That’s tonight’s ear worm sorted …
Intrigued by this new feature on a Google search when it asks 'locate results close to you'? This morning's search was for the CPR: is Google saying it will find the nearest White Book?

Dear Outlook. No, I would not like to start my reply to a senior colleague with "Teamwork makes the dreamwork". Nor to reply using emojis. Yours faithfully, Bemused of EC4
Quick Q: which Minister gets the privilege of signing the statement of ECHR compatibility for the emergency legislation / confirming the Gvt intends to proceed despite not being able to sign such a statement and which of those two will it be?
@Joanna__Hardy Hatton Cross IAC (basically Heathrow) instead of Taylor House (Rosebery Avenue EC1). To make matters worse I had travelled there from Chambers (EC4) having got the 5.30 am train in to prep and make the trip out there....
