Washington has adopted the Next Gen Bar Exam as of July 2026.

Perhaps even more important news for some. Washington has also dropped its passing UBE score threshold to 266. This applies not only for tests from now till July 2026, but also for tests from July 2020 till now.

The significance of this: If you took and did not pass the Washington Bar Exam in July 2020 or later, but you did score a 266 or above, you've passed the the Washington Bar Exam.
