@buckeyefbnation It doesn’t really mean anything because we don’t know how truthful Day is being; that is just the way he talks about QB battles. In 2019 we were told it was a close battle between Fields and Hoak, just for Hoak to be the third string QB.
@CFBChuckk He can hold the grudge because OSU was the local school, but he wouldn’t have gotten a Texas offer if he was playing HS ball in Austin, either. He didn’t even get offers from schools like Kentucky, Northwestern, etc. who love Ohio three stars.
@RMGBuckeye4Life It’s still nothing. We know Bo is at least a solid RB, so if he’s been passed that would say more about the other guys than him. But also, how could West have definitively jumped Bo when neither guy was playing football? I expect West to kill it, but Bo will still be good too
@briancwalton78 I think the bigger problem against Miami (and Indiana) was that they used a silent count with no variance. Sayin gave the signal to Luke Montgomery, who would then tap Hinzman and he would immediately snap it. Every single play for both games they did this.
@Buckeye_GDG I thought Sayin’s movement in the pocket was really good last year. It wasn’t great in the last two games, but Day/Hartline did him no favors by using the same silent count for every play in both games. Everyone knew exactly when the ball would be snapped
@OTbucknut@BuckeyeNatty@Menace2Sports Because Day is the one that chose to have an OC with no play calling experience. Also, Day was still heavily involved in the offense
@KbibbsKeith@freddy2chains That’s actually the exact opposite of Master Teague. Teague showed great speed in 2019 when he got massive holes in mop up duty, but he couldn’t use it against good teams because of his terrible vision, balance, and elusiveness
@MNeumeyer@AndyHermanNFL@bemaltz@Mikepap3314 Then why have former refs from top leagues come out to say they disagree with the red card? Why didn’t Dzeko get sent off for his reckless collision that could have badly hurt Tyler Adams? There is no consistency from refs, which is why an appeal process needs to exist
@Michael2Wallace “Quansah made a direct attempt to take the ball”
“It doesn’t appear that Quansah intended to slide into the opponent’s leg with his cleats up”
Both direct quotes from Mark’s post and you still think his point was that Quansah had bad intentions?
@GroggsDavidOWL@ScottyGrays@KappuyuSHosha@tombogert If you are so concerned about the integrity of the game you should focus on the inconsistent refereeing. The suspension of Balogun’s punishment is a bad look, but it’s equally bad that so many other players haven’t gotten red cards when they should have.
