Lately I've been looking at myself as a plant more than anything else. I need proper care, water, and sunlight in order to grow.
Reminder: Take care of yourself. Self love is the best loveโค
@setalyas I think point 4 is kinda presumptuous and boundary crossing (I know of authors who get bombarded with having to justify themselves as writers and that's shitty) but points 1-3, whilst personally horrific, like, you do you. However you enjoy stuff so long as it does no harm.
@yrfatfriend Valuing my time, mental health, decreased pain levels over societal pressure to be thin. More flippantly, not wanting to have to cull hard found cute shit from my wardrobe.
@yrfatfriend Genetics, learnt disordered eating from both parents, exhaustion from work/chronic illnesss leading to me grabbing whatever is easy, chronic illness eliminating fun and cheap exercise options, history of anorexia and bulimia making dieting kinda dangerous 1/?
@karlachernikova I am just lamenting this on a writing forum. I default to Calibri (it's easy to read, damnit; sans serif FTW) but so many calls for subs want TNR and that makes poems look so very different. (Fiction is less of an issue; I just write in C then switch.)
@dormousekate "Secondly mouth brooding doesn't need any specialist equipment so can be shared between co-parents. Third it freaks out normal people for some reason, so I'm here for it." I must introduce you two at some point.
@dormousekate "Firstly, given mermaids are complex social creatures there needs to be some kind of parental care. This eliminates laying eggs and being done with it or laying then dying."
@dormousekate My expert on all these things says, "lay eggs for mouth-brooding, which opens whole new questions of how human-like the mermaid's head is."
