@MaryKForrest@UCBerkeley@RichardEngel Celebrating your beautiful boys contribution to the advancement of science! Our son Gage, who died in April ‘22, gave his blood, tissue, and cells to help develop a gene therapy approved by the FDA. Our children are helping to cure diseases. Their lives matter❤️
@UncleCharlie50 I’m watching it right now… it’s the perfect baseball movie. Hats off to your wonderful career, Adam. You’ve helped make baseball a perfect sport.
@fdesouza@illumina To celebrate Rare Disease Day, I reflect on the occasions I’ve been brought to Illumina to speak about our son Gage, who passed away this past April, and the 14 year diagnostic odyssey it took to determine what he had. We Lived a Great Story with him!
@RichardEngel Our hearts go out to your family as we are now both parents of angels whose cells are being used to create gene therapies, treatments, or cures of rare diseases. Some parents get to say their kid is a lawyer, an architect, or won the Heisman, but ours is going to cure a disease.
@RecSpecsRyan I love everything about your brother…his beautiful spirit, and your loving bond with him. You’re a better person because of him, and he was blessed with you as his brother. We lost our unique son in April…we choose to remember him with joy. Live a Great Story in his honor!
@MaryKForrest@RichardEngel We decided early on to live a life of joy and grace despite the diagnosis. Our son would only have one life, but we knew we had countless opportunities to make it great. And while we are so sad that he is gone, we’re so glad that he was here.
