Here’s the thing.
My generation spent our whole lives being told character matters, especially in leaders.
And then. Suddenly. It didn’t.
So. There is no avenue, to me, of trusting the people who disingenuously told us to believe in truth & then demanded we abandon it bc tactics.
On this day, in 1555, Nicholas Ridley & Hugh Latimer were burned at the stake for preaching justification by faith alone. Latimer said, “Be of good cheer, Master Ridley, and play the man; we shall this day light a candle in England, by God’s grace, that shall never be put out.”
@dodgerman32 While we’re at it, maybe we could go back to 1988 when the Dodgers last won a legitimate World Series. Of course, that wouldn’t work - you weren’t alive to enjoy it. Nvm.
My wife just said "if you hate everyone, you should eat something, and if you think everyone hates you, you should go to sleep" and I don't think I've heard a better life hack
@dodgerman32 Difference is, I’m not bragging as if my teams did something legitimate. I recognize my teams are “less than”. Like the Dodgers and Lakers recent championships.
After several days of watching commercials for cryptocurrency on the Olympics, I've made a decision:
At age 64, my life expectancy is about twenty years. I’m going to see if I can make it to the finish line learning precisely nothing about what crypto is and does.
Am I wrong?
@dodgerman32 @emilyschen There’s an argument to be made that Weird Al Yankovic’s Greatest Hits album is the best album of all time. Not saying it’s the end all be all, but the argument is there.
