@richardhuss@2D0XPS@dominicptaranto Mains sewerage or gas, is most of our community. Not sure it affects the quality of life (community or church) -extended power cuts used to bring community together!
Only thing we need to do is restore manual bellows for organ - my predecessor as C/w in 1995 used to pump them
@MadsDavies I wonder why people are afraid of being publicly visible. Over 30 years visible as a company director/professional, church officer, member of judiciary have never felt the need to not be available to speak to those whose lives I impact. C/ws and clergy are public offices 4/4
@MadsDavies For some roles, an in-parish (or deanery) group session would be far more effective than expecting them to complete individual training. This would give the chance to reinforce the "why". 3/?
Will skipper Marc Bryant be able to build on last year’s success? His first test, Bitterne Ducks at The Common 3rd of May, the rest in your Sunday teams fixture list bellow💚

@MadsDavies@liturgicalben But I am not sure multi church parishes are any better - this just changes the legal structure. This has been one proposed solution. Churches have to be communities/families that have a relationship within themselves.
@Guy21Nerdy@2D0XPS@thevicarswife (Sorry can't resist this) Maybe on the IoM they have to rely on celestial navigation if most parishes have sextants - does GPS not work there?
@QcWynter No longer in practice so unlikely! Only ongoing active role a judicial one and therefore I look to apply the law based on black letter and precedent. Still interesting.
@jdleggcan@mrdavidrowe@jdleggcan can you explain what 'an autistic level of devotion to routine and rigidity" involves? Hope all well, not seen you lately.
@liambeadle I see your point. More widely is it positive or negative? Suggests to me that we are seeing less cultural Christianity but greater depth for those who remain (or come to faith). It seems consistent message from many stats, but does it mean we engage with a smaller 'fringe'
@2D0XPS Anec calc of USA/ASA/worshipping comm. Take WC of perhaps 60, allow 5/6 in care home/unwell, people being away 6+ weeks pa (they're retired), another 6/7, easy to end up close to ASA of say 45 - older cong (and also 2 train/disc so placements) so USA 75% of WC. 50% seems wrong!
