@PompeyFlag@Pompey@mrandrewmoon Waddingham, Umeh, Murphy, Arthur, Ogilvie, Marezi, Kosznovszky, Anderson, Brook-Smith… who am I missing?
Only three of those walk into the first XI, but still doesn’t help with squad depth!
And also, 4 of those are back after the international break, with 4 long term injuries
#Pompey fans…. I asked Gemini to use all available data to come up with the perfect starting XI in (my favourite formation) a 3-4-2-1…. It’s assumed that everyone is fit and ready. Thoughts??
@MikePompey So much ability, and not actually that old (31, 32?), so could still have a future. He’s just not mobile enough to do the high press that Sega and BFS offer. There’s still a role for Swifty at Pompey, at least until Kosz comes back from injury
@PompeyNewsNow I’m disappointed that I didn’t see this coming! It’s a classic move from Mous/Hughes. Leave 2 spots open, and let the first two back from injury take them when needed. I would have left both Anderson and Blair out personally
@mrandrewmoon Do you think our team performance relies entirely on the performance of Pack on any given game day? If Pack’s not quite at it, does the team fall short? Do you think Mohamed has shown glimpses of potential?
@SamMcEwan17 Fair point, but my point was more that you shouldn’t write the poor guy off after a 20 minute appearance just days after arriving in the country!
@NoahPfc@JackDavis10 I thought Blair did okay when he came on against Bristol… and I have more faith in him being fit! Anderson more likely to be injured IMHO
@PompeyPedro … and whilst we’re at it, no.2 on that list should be to tell the striker (don’t care who) to stay between the posts. No front-post run nonsense. Stick between the posts!
@PompeyPedro 100%, PP. If there’s a plan, play it early. Whether that’s out to the CB, or a route one ball. Do it within 2 seconds. They’re just waiting for the pressure, to then free up the CB and play out. Nonsense.
