@SymbolStones@LiberationScot@ACSF110669@DavidDhenry@ScotTories@UN We just see it differently and you’re now just arguing semantics not content. If you categorically say a document says this, when the document explicitly says it is not saying that, the original assertion doesn’t have a grain of truth in it, imho.
@SymbolStones@LiberationScot@ACSF110669@DavidDhenry@ScotTories@UN Sounds like we agree, that the assertion above that the document itself says Scotland ‘IS a dependency of England’, is completely false and a lie as I originally said :) the document is very clear it is NOT saying that.
@SymbolStones@LiberationScot@ACSF110669@DavidDhenry@ScotTories@UN Yes, it is very clear, paragraph 35 sets out two scenarios that a new state emerges or England continues, then paragraph 37 explicitly says they do not decided between those two interpretations. It is black and white. They make no judgement on it, they are so clear on this.
@LiberationScot@ACSF110669@DavidDhenry@ScotTories@UN I’m not here to get followers I’m here to challenge mistruths. Why not challenge the concept of that I’m saying? Your assertion is false and has been reported. Please reflect on the damage fake news does on social media - you are the problem not the solution!!
@LiberationScot@ACSF110669@DavidDhenry@ScotTories@UN It would be interesting if there was even a grain of truth in what you are saying. Assuming referring to the Scotland analysis and it makes no such claim whatsoever - this is misleading and false and you should be ashamed.
@PoliticoUlster@SlushMuppyPup23 5th largest by the usual measure of GDP. But yes there are other ones? I don’t disagree with your take on Ireland. Still has tax haven status to thank for the boom - effectively funneling tax revenues earned from other countries. It’s disgusting.
@SlushMuppyPup23 2/ The OECD say not to use Ireland’s gdp figures as they are so misleading and distorted. Even the CSO itself stopped using GDP and made a GNI as it was so distorted. A tax haven preaching to other countries about success is sickening.
@MyNameIsCFSC@80_mcswan Where would you draw the line though? Could Cornwall become independent? The old German kingdoms? Venice? Sicily? Before you know it western civilisation would be a laughing stock compared to the great powers in the east.
@pe_nng You’re wrong. Remember steel and air are cheap. These didn’t cost much more than an invincible mk2 would have but have more adaptability and upgrade ability. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
@MyNameIsCFSC@80_mcswan EU not a country tho obviously? Of course it’s a democracy - but international
Law is clear an integral part of a democracy has no right to self determination as it already exercises that proportionally. The old German kingdoms have no right to secede?
@thomasforth Incorrect. Per capita is not the ‘economy’, at least be clear on that. But Yes, largely as England’s gdp per capita was suppressed by the short term data effect of the new migrants - ‘boriswave’. Now migration has come down gdp per capita is picking up nicely.
