@christo71213435 @mcsymbiont I should mention that the original plasmids from that paper, which insert a kanamycin resistance cassette in addition to GFP, didn’t work for me. I instead used plasmids from Wiles et al 2018 (pTW56, https://t.co/CZx68wFw1x…) that additionally inserted a gentamicin cassette.
@christo71213435 @mcsymbiont I used mini-Tn7, so it inserted at the attTn7 site, as in this paper: https://t.co/gBAViCUA24. Added a PA1 promoter sequence in cloning.
@mcsymbiont I made one with GFP integrated! You would have to contact Nancy and Eli since I’m no longer there, but it is well labeled in my frozen stocks. I could pass them the info.
Dear all, the Gribaldo lab at Institut Pasteur Paris has a post-doctoral position immediately available to work on cell growth and division in our new model Methanobrevibacter smithii. Check out our recent paper. https://t.co/4rTHKA94CR Please RT. Thanks! #archaea#cellbiology
Very excited for this pre-print, describing Pseudofinder, a software for pseudogene-prediction in bacteria and archaea! A really fun project with @mcsymbiont, @FilipHusnik, @pjkeelinglab, and Mitch Syberg-Olsen.
