HBO had to write a 5-year time jump into S3 because the cast literally aged out of playing high schoolers. The show about 16-year-olds now stars women pushing 30. The premiere is tomorrow and the plot has them running businesses and doing OnlyFans.

Sam Levinson choked up at Tuesday's premiere dedicating the final season to Angus Cloud and Eric Dane. The delay wasn't just scheduling. It was the strikes, coordinating schedules with a cast that became unhirable-level famous, and figuring out how to honor two actors who died during the gap.

Euphoria didn't launch careers. It detonated them. And the fallout was so massive that the show couldn't survive it.
