@MayoOnTheBrain This just happened to me too! We responded to the reviewers that we weren’t going to do that and then the paper was rejected 😂. I agree though it’s super sketchy and we were also surprised we were wrong! We talked a lot about why we could have been wrong in the discussion.

@CFCamerer I’m still waiting to hear about a USDA postdoctoral fellowship I applied for in August. I’m now indelible for it because I got a permanent position but yeah, this budget uncertainty has screwed a whole cohort of postdocs out of funding.
